Is Collegiate Tower open to undergraduate and postgraduate students?
Yes, we accommodate for all students no matter their year of study!
Are there any additional fees or hidden charges not mentioned in the accommodation charges?
Not at all, what you see is what you get. We do have a £100 fee to hold your room for 7 days when booking, but this is put toward your first rental instalment.
Is there a maximum length of stay for students at Collegiate Tower?
Yes, our Bristol student accommodation has a maximum length of 51 weeks on our tenancies.
We hope you love your stay enough to stay for the entirety of your university journey till course completion. Each year we open our bookings to residents to rebook for the following year.
What options are available for students who wish to terminate their accommodation contract early?
This will be up to the discretion of our site and operations team who will come to a decision depending on the circumstance.
2. Bristol students
Is it difficult to get student accommodation in Bristol?
We find Bristol is one of the most popular student destinations in the country, so it can be difficult securing accommodation. That’s why we advise all our students to book as early as possible avoiding disappointment and for your peace of mind.
Where do students stay in bristol?
Typically students will stay in halls, private accommodation or a shared house.
What students may not know is Bristol student properties like ours, Tower, can replicate a shared house with our shared apartments. Without the worry of additional costs, splitting money and sorting bills!
3. Room questions
Are there any restrictions on cooking or kitchen facilities available to students?
We have a range of room types, from studios with your own kitchen space to shared apartments with a shared kitchen.

Can students personalise their rooms or bring their own furniture?
Of course, once booked your room is yours, bar giving it a lick of paint, you can decorate it with furnishings however you please.
It’s definitely worth taking a look around your room before deciding on any final purchases to get an idea of space and what you need. (remember we have washing machines & dryers on-site).
Can I choose who I stay with in my student flat?

4. Questions on procedures
Is there a curfew or quiet hours policy in place for residents?
University is a place to meet new friends, have fun, and go out and we encourage that as we know how important that is to your experience!
But also being mindful of how important it is to respect everyone’s space we ensure our residents are not disturbed and enforce practices to do so.
How are maintenance issues handled, and what is the response time for resolving them?
If something needs sorting out, simply pop to reception or call the accommodation team to report it.
The repair will be carried out in accordance with an agreed schedule of priorities and a time will be arranged for our maintenance team to come and fix things. They will always knock before entering a room.
What safety measures are in place in case of emergencies or medical incidents?
Our appointed staff (Accommodation Team) oversee the following areas:
- Health and safety – premises
- Risk assessments
- First Aid/Mental Health First Aid
- Student behaviour and safeguarding
Are there any restrictions on guests or visitors to the accommodation?
We completely understand friends will come and go and the importance to our students’ health and well-being to be able to invite friends round.
To ensure all residents’ and staff’s safety and security, everyone should be respectful of others and their surroundings. A guest is welcome to stay for up to 3 consecutive nights per week. Any overnight guest must sign in with
the Accommodation Team.
