Homeslice
Boasting 20” pizza whole or by the slice, the Homeslice menu offers seasonal toppings with fresh mozzarella delivered from Naples and all bases made in small batches on-site. With branches in the City, Neal’s Yard and Marylebone, it’s easy to find one if you’re out exploring restaurants in London. They also sell Take & Bake kits with a freshly prepared 12” pizza that’s been partially cooked in their wood-fired ovens, ready for you to pop in the oven when you’re ready at home. Since you’ll have your own private kitchen area in our Dashwood Studio student flats, you don’t even have to worry about your housemates wanting a slice!
Pizza Pilgrims
Offering up slow proved Neapolitan pizza made with fresh dough and fine Italian ingredients, Pizza Pilgrims have 15 branches across London. Choose toppings ranging from classic margarita to Italian sausage, and make them your own with a variety of dips and extras including a whole burrata, prosciutto or fresh chilis. Pizza Pilgrims also put on a regular bottomless pizza, prosecco and pints events from just £30 per person at their West India Quay branch – ideal to kick off the weekend with friends.
Theo’s Pizzeria
In a light and airy restaurant space, Theo’s Pizzeria offers some of the best pizza in London and is just a short walk away from your student flat in Elephant and Castle. Enjoy Neapolitan style sourdough pizzas with a tub of Theo’s famed chilli sauce to dunk your crust, or if you go at lunchtime they have a host of other options including aubergine parmigiana and panuozzi, which is a sort of pizza sandwich. There’s something for everyone at this pizza place and the prices are remarkably budget-friendly considering the exceptional quality.
Japes
If it’s deep dish pizza you’re after then you need look no further than Japes. The deep golden crust and base is stacked with the finest mozzarella, homemade tomato sauce and your choice of classic toppings including a host of veggie and vegan options. Not to mention an amazing selection of crust dips and starters including nduja and mozzarella bread or classic olives. The pizzas might look small but they’re more filling than you might think so we advise starting off with one between two, and see how you go!
Pizza Union
This Italian pizza bar promises Roman style, fire baked, thin and crispy 12” bases but brought to you in superfast time. It’s definitely a more traditional pizza place in London with the signature toppings you know and love including pepperoni, pollo and margherita. They also have an option with vegan mozzarella and plenty of veggie options. Be sure to check out their dessert pizza topped with Nutella or try a classic Sicilian cannoli for something a little lighter but still totally decadent.
