BEAR Iron Gate is located in the centre of the city’s iconic Cathedral Quarter; a hotspot for high-quality food and drink. Funday Brunch takes place at BEAR Iron Gate every weekend, and it’s exactly what it says on the tin. Every Thursday to Sunday, for just £20pp, you can get any item from their brunch menu, plus 3 drinks of your choice from the Funday Brunch range including cocktails, coffee, prosecco (we recommend the elderflower gin fizz). The brunch menu is locally-sourced and served until 3pm, with a range of dishes like eggs Benedict, shakshuka, pancakes or the BEAR breakfast. With BEAR’s modern vibes, abundance of fresh seasonal treats, and artisan coffees, you’ll definitely want to give them a try.

Turtle Bay
Turtle Bay is known as ‘the best Carribean bar and restaurant in Britain’, and with the food being so delicious and packed with flavour, it’s no wonder why. The brunch menu includes their own twist on Avocado Smash, curry goat hash and the Vegan Yardbird; Roti stacked with chicken style vegan patty, smashed avocado, rich maple syrup, hot sauce & watermelon. You can choose any brunch dish, burger or roti, plus 2 hours of unlimited cocktails, mocktails, prosecco and craft beers, for only £27 per person and with so many vegan and vegetarian options, there’s something for everyone. At Turtle Bay you’ll always get fun, flavour and good times. Turtle Bay is super convenient, as it’s just a 4 minute walk from your Derby University Accommodation.

Slug and Lettuce
Slug and Lettuce firmly believe brunch is one of the most important meals of the day. That’s why you can enjoy selected brunch dishes alongside unlimited glasses of Prosecco, Mimosas, Aperol Spritz, Bloody Marys, Pints of Amstel, Virgin Marys or selection of soft drinks for two hours every weekend. For only £28pp, you can indulge in a classic dish like the full English breakfast or go wild with ‘Pornstar pancakes’ – American pancakes, topped with a Prosecco, vodka mango and passionfruit compote. For only £3 more per person you can upgrade your brunch, giving you options like a BBQ rump steak sandwich, Halloumi and avocado sandwich or Tostada topped with chicken and chorizo – yum.

Revolution Bar
Situated in the Cathedral Quarter of Derby city centre with funky decor, luxury seating and private VIP areas, Revolution Bar is the perfect place to kick off the weekend, especially with a bottomless brunch. Every Saturday and Sunday between 11am and 4pm you can choose one dish from the brunch menu including the fried chicken and bacon waffle or the blueberry, banana and Nutella pancakes and in addition you’ll get two hours of unlimited drinks including Aperol Spritz, Amstel, Prosecco or bloody Marys from just £20. At Revolution they start the party early, so make sure to pace yourself.
