Well, you’d be correct and there’s often much debate as to who sells the best fish and chips Southampton has to offer. That’s something you’ll have to decide for yourself. To get you started, we’ve put together three of the best fish and chip shops in Southampton.

Mike’s Fish & Chips, Queensway

Located just a 10-minute walk from our student accommodation in Southampton, Mike’s fish and chips are famous across the city for their quality takeaway food. Here you’ll find all the usual chip shop classics, a choice of cod, haddock, or plaice and of course a nice selection of pies. Mike’s doesn’t currently deliver, but you do have a choice of restaurant seating or takeaway. Whether you sit indoors or wander down to the docks is up to you. If you do have a wander, watch out for those pesky seagulls!
