Student life in Gloucester
Gloucester is a rural city located just between the idyllic Cotswolds in the south-west of England and The Forest of Dean. It is perfect for those who aren’t immediately drawn to the night lights of the UK’s larger cities such as London or Birmingham. The pace of life may be slightly slower here but it certainly isn’t lacking with an array of fantastic things to do. The city has plenty to offer in the form of great sporting events hosted at both the Kingsholm, Rugby Stadium and the annual Gloucester Cricket Festival. There is also a variety of traditional pubs, bars and restaurants many of which pride themselves on their use of fine, local produce.
Dubbed the festival capital of the UK, Gloucestershire hosts up to a different festival every week! These events span various industries, from sports to showjumping, literature festivals to music celebrations, colourful carnivals, beer bonanzas and foodie feasts so there really is something for everyone.
