Introduction
Chester University freshers week… what better way to break the ice and dive right into university life. Those first few weeks will be an exciting and nerve-wracking time for all students. It’s when you’ll be meeting your new classmates, friends, learn new skills, and enjoying new experiences.
Freshers week will be packed with events, activities, and socials to help you settle in, make friends, and find your feet. It’s usually run by the university and student unions. They include everything from welcome fairs and campus tours to club nights and sports taster sessions. There will be something for everyone!
What to expect during freshers?
There can be a lot of “firsts” during freshers which can feel a little daunting, but to make you feel better about the experience, this quick list below will give you a flavour of what to expect.
Meet new people – New city, new home… new people! Freshers week is the perfect chance to meet new people who are likely to become lifelong friends. Everyone’s in the same boat so don’t be nervous, you’ll soon settle and feel right at home.
Exploring Campus – There will be numerous campus tours during freshers’ week where you can get to know your surroundings, and the facilities available.
Clubs and societies -Chester freshers is also the week of your freshers fair. Here you can sign-up for all clubs and societies that may interest you. It’s a great way to meet like-minded people and find your feet.
F**K ME it’s freshers
An annual tradition for Chester students, F*CK ME its freshers takes place on Monday 18th September to start uni life off. You can expect party games, UV paint, dancers and performers, a mixture of house, DNB, Hip hop and more! Tickets normally sell out in advance and you can get yours here.
