Particularly when you first arrive in a new city, it can be difficult to know where to start and find a good student night. That’s why we’ve put together a handy guide of the best student nights from Monday to Friday – and, best of all, they’re all less than a 15 minute walk from your student accommodation in Coventry.
Collegiate offers a choice of four student accommodations in Coventry with each one benefiting from a prime location in the city centre. This means you get to head into the city, enjoy your evening, and you and your friends can walk back to your accommodation where you can enjoy a big comfy double bed and a private en-suite, as well as kitchen facilities to cook that all-important recovery breakfast!
Monday: Castle Grounds
Start your week at Castle Grounds, one of the best places for a student night out in Coventry – and one of our favourite spots for bottomless brunch in Coventry. Throughout the week you can enjoy a Student Saver menu with spirits and mixers, beers, ciders and soft drinks starting from £1.50 and sharing platters from £5.50. Monday night is Castle Grounds’ quiz night with cash prizes so it’s a great night out for a group of friends. Booking is recommended if you want to secure the best tables, but if you don’t fancy the quiz (and the weather permits!) you can enjoy drinks out on their stylish roof terrace.

Tuesdays: JJ’s
BOOM Tuesdays at JJ’s is practically a rite of passage for students in Coventry. As one of the city’s longest running student nights, you can expect it to only get bigger and better each year – think confetti cannons, live DJs, streamers, prize giveaways and VIP booths. This famed student nightclub in Coventry is also right next to the Spon Gate (another Coventry student favourite) and is open until 4am so you can enjoy some cheap drinks beforehand and then dance the night away before the short journey back to your student accommodation.

Wednesday: The Empire
The Empire should definitely be on your radar while you’re a student in Coventry. This multi-purpose venue is well known and loved for the eclectic mix of live music, comedy shows and performances, as well as its club nights. The student night is Get Social Wednesdays at The Empire and is the perfect spot to let your hair down mid-week, with a host of deals on drinks and a mix of music for you to enjoy. Working with the student union, it’s also the official student night of Coventry Uni’s sports teams and societies so you’ll be in for a good night, but it will be busy so get there early for your spot on the dancefloor.

Thursday: Catch Twenty Two Club Lounge
Any Coventry student who’s frequented Mist Thursdays at Catch Twenty Two will tell you; it’s all about the atmosphere. The high-energy crowds and high-quality hip hop means the dance floor is always packed so you’d be advised to get there early, enjoy a drinks deal and make your way to the dance floor. Catch Twenty Two also offers a student card called the Pink Lady for £25, which guarantees you free entry, jumping the queue before midnight and an hour of unlimited mixers at 11pm. So, if you have a good night, it could be worth the small investment in your Coventry student nightlife!

Friday: The Quids Inn
Right in the beating heart of Coventry Uni’s city campus is The Quids Inn – the quintessential student pub in Coventry. Not only does it offer live entertainment, table football, arcade games and pool tables, it’s also open until 4am every single day of the week and serves pizza! Happy Hour is Sunday to Friday from 5-7:30pm where you and your friends can enjoy 2-4-1 on classic cocktails, gin and tonics and beers. Friday night is one of the official club nights but whether you’re looking for a pre-game drinking spot or want the party to carry on after venturing into the centre, it’s the ultimate student-friendly spot in Coventry.
